Practical Social Marketing Tips – How to Integrate & Automate YouTube, Facebook and Twitter

Image via CrunchBaseYouTube is a great way to drive consistent traffic and build a strong online presence. You can create a screen capture video on a specific topic. You can do a head shot video. You can combine the two. There is so much you can do, and if you are not doing it you are leaving a great deal of traffic on the table.
From what I have seen there are two types of people that market on YouTube in terms of how they leverage the results they get from each video. So let’s take a closer look at each type and you can decide which one you want to be.
The Uni-Result Marketer
The Uni-Result Marketer is defined as the marketer who uploads a video and gets one result from it: traffic from YouTube. Now with YouTube being the 3rd ranked site on the Internet in terms of traffic, with only Facebook and Google ahead of them, this can result in lots of traffic.
The problem with the Uni-Result Marketer is they are always thinking too small. They do not ask how else can I use this piece of content on the Internet, how can they integrate and automate with other sites, and they do not think in a big enough scale.
The Multi-Result Marketer
The Multi-Result Marketer on the other hand is always thinking about leveraging, automating, integrating on a large scale to get the very most from their marketing efforts.
Here’s how you can do this with YouTube:
1. Log in to your YouTube account
2. Click on the “Upload” button
3. In the box underneath “Video File Upload” you will see a section called “AutoShare Options”
4. Follow the directions there to connect your Facebook account and your Twitter account to your YouTube account.
You only have to do this once. Then once you do, every time you upload a new video to YouTube there will be an announcement automatically sent to both your Facebook account and your Twitter account.
This is great automatic re-purposing that triples the place that now know about your new video. More places equal more traffic. This is because your video is now being announced to the 2nd most trafficked website in the world – Facebook, and the the 14th most trafficked site in the world – Twitter.
Now you have a great little “traffic triangle” working for you each and every time you upload a new video to YouTube.
